You can translate Cockpit into your language without leaving Cockpit, then send the result here. A half-finished translation is welcome: whatever you leave empty stays English.

How to make one

In Cockpit, click the translate icon (small button under the clock, after Aa) and choose Translate Cockpit…. Pick your language or start a new one.
Type your text next to each English line. The bar shows how far you are. Keep every {placeholder} exactly as written.
Press Download my file: you get a small .json file named after your language code (fr.json, pt-BR.json).
Send that file with the form below.

No Studio? Copy the empty template (Cockpit's language menu, or lang/_template.json in the download), fill in the values and send the file. The details are in the User Guide.

I wrote this translation (or have the right to share it) and I am happy for it to be included in Cockpit under its open-source licence.

Your file is checked the same way the Studio checks it (the language code, only lines Cockpit has, the placeholders unchanged); lines that fail are left out and counted. It is kept privately and read by the owner before anything ships. Nothing is published automatically. Questions: see Join us.
